The Kabila puzzle

Zimbabweans who reportedly went into jubilation following the death of Congolese President Laurent Kabila have been castigated left, right, and centre.

But it appears, that it was all right for the Congolese themselves to appoint a successor before Kabila’s death. If he had been ill, perhaps that would have been understandable.

But the way Kabila’s death was handled in Zimbabwe, the confusion created, the confirmation of his death by Defence Minister Moven Mahachi and the denial by Minister of State for Information Jonathan Moyo, makes one wonder what will happen if a local leader, say President Mugabe for example, dies.
