Sanctions hurting

German’s ambassador to Zimbabwe Albretch Conze was today quoted as saying that sanctions on Zimbabwe were poisoning the political climate and making it difficult for SADC- appointed facilitator South African President Jacob Zuma to mediate the dialogue between ZANU-PF and the two MDC formations. “We were quite pleased with what the SADC Troika said in Windhoek about a roadmap on elections which SADC will endorse and underwrite. That is an appealing idea and we want to see commitment by Zimbabwe and its neighbours,” he said.
