A Kariba pastor who prophesied that President Robert Mugabe will die on 17 October this year and must pray hard to avoid this fate was arrested today and charged with criminal nuisance.
He is likely to be brought to court tomorrow.
Patrick Mugadza at one time staged a one-man protest against Mugabe complaining that people were suffering.
He quoted from Proverbs 21 vs 13 which reads: “Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.”
According to his lawyer, Mugadza is not admitting the charge arguing that what he said was given to him by God during prayer.
