Zimbabwe records 1 coronavirus death but active cases continue to decline

Zimbabwe today recorded one coronavirus death pushing the total to 225 but the number of active cases continued to decline after 31 people recovered but there were only 25 new cases.

The person who died today was from Bulawayo which now has 43 deaths.

There are now 7 672 cases to date and 5 914 recoveries leaving the number of active cases at 1 533.

Thirteen of the recoveries were in Matebeleland South which saw the number of active cases drop to 164.

Another 12 were from Manicaland which now has 33 active cases.

Globally there are now 30.9 million cases with 959 400 deaths.

Some 22.5 million people have recovered but there are still 7.4 million active cases.
