Zimbabwe manages to control coronavirus over Easter period

Zimbabwe has managed to control the spread of coronavirus during the Easter period which began on Thursday recording only 52 new cases and 2 deaths during the five-day period.

A total of 46 459 people were vaccinated during the five days pushing the total to 123 454.

There were 11 new cases today and no death while 10 people recovered.

This pushed the number of active cases to 651 with 429 in Harare and 120 in Bulawayo.

Deaths remained at 1 525 while cases rose to 36 934 and recoveries to 34 758

A total of 6 157 people got their first vaccination dose today while 453 got their second pushing the total for those who have  received two doses to 22 056.
