The High Court today ruled that students will not be required to re-write the Ordinary Level English paper two which was allegedly leaked through the social media last year but its results will not be counted.

Their English results will now be based on one paper English paper one.

High Court judge Loice Matanda Moyo sitting with Justice Priscilla Munangati-Manongwa said it was inconsiderate to ask the students to rewrite the paper as had been decided by the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC).

Students had been ordered to rewrite the paper on Friday.

Only about 15 000 students out of 260 000 had cheated.
