Zimbabwe extends lockdown indefinitely

President Emmerson Mnangagwa today announced that the current national lockdown, which was due to end tomorrow, has been extended indefinitely but will be reviewed after every two weeks.

Zimbabwe has been under a lockdown since 30 March.

So far it has recorded 42 coronavirus cases of which 25 are active. Thirteen people have recovered and four have died.

Globally there are now 4.6 million cases, 308 984 deaths and 1.8 million recoveries.
