Zimbabwe coronavirus cases surpass 6 000

Zimbabwe had 140 new coronavirus cases today pushing the number of cases to 6 070.

Seventy-eight people recovered raising the number to 4 950 but the number of active cases also rose from 903 to965.

There were no deaths.

The national recovery rate now stands at 82 percent.

Globally there are now 23.7 million cases which include 814 600 deaths, 16.2 million recoveries and 6.7 million active cases.

Africa has only 1.2 million cases with more than half of them in South Africa.

It has 27 911 deaths with 13 059 from South Africa.

Zimbabwe has 155 deaths.
