October got off to a good start with no coronavirus death, 12 new cases and nine recoveries.

Zimbabwe now has 7 850 cases, 6 312 recoveries and 1 310 active cases, 1 125 of which are in Harare.

Deaths remained static at 228.

Globally the number of cases has risen to 34.4 million with 1.02 million deaths, 25.5 million recoveries and 7.7million active cases.

Deaths in India, which now has 6.4 million cases could top 100 000 anytime.
