President Emmerson Mnangagwa has kept his promise to release the Kgalema Motlanthe Commission report into the violence of 1 August in which six people were killed.

The commission blamed the military for the deaths but said the demonstrations which sparked the violence were planned.

There were fears that if the commission blamed the military Mnangagwa might not release the report but the 128-page final report and the 1 290-page transcript of the hearings have been posted on the commission’s website- www.postlectionviolencecommission.gov.zw
