Mliswa says Chamisa needs psychiatric help

Independent Member of Parliament Temba Mliswa says Movement for Democratic Change Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa is going through a depression after losing the 30 July elections and needs psychiatric help.

Chamisa has rejected the election results won by Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front leader Emmerson Mnangagwa and were upheld by the country’s highest court.

He insists he is the legitimate winner of the elections and will inaugurate himself this weekend when his party marks its 19th anniversary.

Mliswa said it was absurd that Chamisa would swear-in himself. If he does, he asked, is he also going to swear-in shadow ministers otherwise how would be function?

The independent legislator also questioned why Chamisa’s legislators had agreed to be sworn in as Members of Parliament and Senators, and were in Parliament today to elect the Speaker of Parliament and President of the Senate and even nominated their own candidates, if they genuinely believe that their leader had won?
