Five more recover from coronavirus in Bulawayo, city has only two active cases

Five more people recovered from the coronavirus in Bulawayo yesterday bringing the total of those who have recovered in the city so far to nine, leaving only two active cases.

Twelve people had contracted the virus since its outbreak on 20 March but one died.

The Ministry of Health said 1 426 people were tested yesterday and they were all negative.

A total of 36 538 people have so far been tested and there were 56 positive cases.

There have been four deaths and 29 cases are still active.

Globally there are now 5.4 million cases with 344 000 deaths, the bulk of them in the United States where 98 683 people have so far died.
