Bulawayo coronavirus cases continue to increase, Midlands down to 3

Coronavirus cases in Bulawayo continue to increase and are now at 117 while the Midlands now has the least number of cases, only three.

Zimbabwe today recorded 27 new cases, 12 of them in Harare and nine in Bulawayo, but there were no deaths.

Deaths remain at 1 518, while cases have risen to 36 805 and those who have recovered are now 34 572.

Seventeen people recovered today resulting in the number of active cases increasing slightly to 715.

Harare has 442 active cases, Matebeleland North 45 and Manicaland 36. All the other provinces have less than 20 cases each.

The vaccination programme has picked up with  6 201 getting the first dose today raising the total to 61 093 while 2 474 got the second dose to bring the total to 6 569.
