Active coronavirus cases in Zimbabwe continue to fall, now down to 972

Zimbabwe today recorded 30 new coronavirus cases but 36 people recovered and there was no death resulting in the number of active cases dropping to 972.

Harare continues to have the highest number of cases with 386, followed by Matebeleland South with 285, but Bulawayo has been overtaken by Matebeleland North which now has 112 while the second city is down to 107.

Three provinces have less than 10 cases each. Midlands has five cases, Masvingo three and Mashonaland East one.

Total cases now stand at 38 357 but 35 811 people have recovered and 1 574 have died.

Today, 8 832 people got their first dose of vaccination to raise the number to 461 028 while 7 624 got the second jab to increase the number of people now fully immunized to 115 210.
