8 Zimbabweans die of coronavirus, South Africa about to clock 1 million cases

Eight Zimbabweans died of coronavirus in Harare over the past week raising the national toll to 349 and that for the capital to 155.

Although Zimbabwe has only 13 077 cases to date, neighbouring South Africa could clock one million cases by tomorrow.

It has 994 911 cases, 26 521 deaths and 129 196 active cases.

Zimbabwe today recorded 114 new cases and 74 recoveries.

The number of active cases rose to 2 135 with Harare having 473, Bulawayo 420 and Matebeleland South 391.

Globally the number of cases has reached nearly 81 million. There are 1.77 million deaths, 57.1 million recoveries and 22 million active cases.
