Zimbabweans will not believe this

Zimbabweans are much happier than people from at least three Southern African countries whose economies are doing extremely well with one of them being one of the fastest growing countries in Africa and the world.

This is something that most Zimbabweans are not likely to believe in the face of skyrocketing prices, shortages of fuel, joblessness and a declining local currency.

But according to the 2019 World Happiness Report which is produced by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network in partnership with the Ernesto Illy Foundation, Zimbabweans are happier than Batswana, Malawians and Tanzanians.

The World Happiness Report is a survey of the state of global happiness that ranks 156 countries by how happy their citizens perceive themselves to be.

Zimbabwe was ranked 146 while Botswana was at number 148 with Malawi at 150 and Tanzania at 153.

Zimbabwe was even ahead of Rwanda, the second fastest growing country in Africa, after Ethiopia. Rwanda recorded a gross domestic product growth of 7.2 percent last year and is projected to grow by 7.8 percent this year.

Tanzania is also among the 10 fastest growing countries in Africa. It grew by 5.8 percent last year and is expected to grow by 6.6 percent this year.

  1. Kkkkk and I’m supposed to be happy on hearing such lies. It needs no rocket scientist to theorise that the general state of economy translates into sad faces for the general populace. Down with their armchair surveys unless if they did their surveys in the Brooks.
