Zimbabwe Finance Minister tells nation to stop thinking in US dollars

-1

Zimbabwe Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube today told Parliament that Zimbabweans must stop thinking in United States dollar terms but should instead use the RTGS dollar that the government introduced on 20 February this year.

He said the practice of using the US dollar RTGS exchange rate to determine prices or salaries was unworkable. People should use the rate of inflation instead because the US dollar was not a tradeable good.

Details to follow.
