Tourism Minister Walter Mzembi today said the industry had earned about 13 percent of the country’s gross domestic product and should grow by an average of 6.9 percent a year. “I have set a … $5 billion revenue target, 5 million arrivals by 2015, with the current peace and stability prevailing in our country and our ability to spin a more positive image of ourselves as preconditions,” he said. Tourism earned $770 million while the number of visitors rose 15 percent to 2.3 million.
