Mugabe and Grace contradict each other on G40

President Robert Mugabe and his wife contradicted each other on whether a faction of the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front called G40 exists or not.

The First Lady said it does not exist but she knows that Lacoste exists.

G40  is a group allegedly led by national political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere and is fighting to stop Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa who allegedly leads Lacoste from succeeding Mugabe.

Another prominent figure in G40, Jonathan Moyo has insisted that G40 does not exist. It is a demographic group not a faction.

This seemed to be confirmed by Mugabe yesterday when he said Kasukuwere gave himself and his group that name G40 soon after Unite States President Barack Obama came into office.

“VeG40 iyi vakazviparira ivo vana Kasukuwere, ndivo vakazvipa zita iroro. Zvakauya sei?” he told a rally in Bindura yesterday.

“Obama akahwina kuUnited States. A young man ari muma 40s. Tikanzwa kut ana Kasukuwere vakuti ah hurumende yakuda vari muma 40s vadiki ndokwabva G40, vana Obama saka vakambonzi vana Obama ivo vadiki ivavava nekuti Obama ndo age group yake yeforty something ndokwazvakabva.

“Havana kupihwa nemumwe izvozvo ayewa vakazvipa izvozvo vachirova matundundu kuti haa tinoda kuti tizopindawo isu yah, vadiki zvino ndivo vakuita take over like vana Obama ah ndakangotarisa ndichiseka zvangu kuti ah.

“Ko Obama is in the United States, iwe Kasukuwere uri kungokunguruka zvako uri muno. Uri muno, nyika ine history yayo, kwatakabva ukuku kunotariswa kuti history yako yakamira sei. Muparty imomo wakamira sei.”
