MDC-T primary elections to start 3 May

Primary elections for both parliamentary and council candidates for the Tsvangirai faction of the Movement for Democratic Change are set to begin on 3 May. Party spokesman Douglas Mwonzora said about 1 000 candidates would contest primaries for parliamentary candidates and over 3 000 those for councillors. The primary elections were originally set for 20 April but failed.
