Education secretary Utete-Masango retired

The Permanent Secretary for Primary and Second Education Sylvia Utete-Masango has been retired according to new Permanent Secretary for Information Ndavaningi Nick Mangwana.

He said she has been replaced by Tumisang Tabhela a former education director for Matebeleland South.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa appointed 18 new permanent secretaries, reassigned 19 and retired nine last month soon after appointing his new cabinet.

Mangwana was appointed on Monday replacing George Charamba who was promoted to Deputy Chief Secretary (Presidential Communications).

Mangwana also said three Public Service Commissioners were also retired. These are Clara Nondo, Diana Guti and Stephen Ngwenya.

Board chair Mariyawanda Nzuwa was retired in May and was replaced by Vincent Hungwe.
