Didymus Mutasa and Jabulani Sibanda re-join ZANU-PF

Former Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front Secretary for Administration Didymus Mutasa and former war veterans leader Jabulani Sibanda have today been re-admitted to the party, according to the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation.

Mutasa and Sibanda were expelled from the party in 2014 together with former Vice-President Joice Mujuru over allegations that they were plotting to topple former President Robert Mugabe.

ZANU-PF spokesman Simon Khaya Moyo said the politburo had today admitted the two together with Chenjerai Kangausaru.

SK Moyo said the party’s disciplinary committee was still looking into the cases of Kudzanayi Chipanga, Innocent Hamandishe, Anastancia Ndlovu and other members seeking readmission.

The party refused to readmit Tapiwa Matangaidze, a former deputy Minister of Labour after he stood as an independent in the last elections.
