New Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front leader Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to return to the country this evening but will only be sworn in as Zimbabwe’s new President on Friday, according to the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation.
Vice-President Phelekezela Mphoko, who is legally the acting President, is nowhere to be seen but there is already talk that Emmerson Mnangagwa, who was fired on 6 November triggering the actions that led President Robert Mugabe to resign yesterday, will be sworn in today.

Former Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa will be sworn in as President either tomorrow or on Thursday, Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front Secretary for Legal Affairs Patrick Chinamasa told an international news agency.
