Can you believe this was said by Strive Masiyiwa, now Zimbabwe’s richest man?

When President Robert Mugabe’s government allocated $100 million to the Indigenous Business Development Centre in 1992 to promote affirmative action, Strive Masiyiwa, who was secretary-general of the IBDC said: “There are certain non-indigenous people who are frantically lobbying to be part of this money. But we will fight tooth and nail to ensure that they won’t get any cent from that money since it is us who solely went to the government begging for that money as far back as February.” Now all you hear is how Masiyiwa beat the odds and even beat Mugabe at his own game and now sits atop a US$1.9 billion fortune.
