Sunday Mail editor Edmund Kudzayi and his brother Philip will know their fate today following an application by their lawyer Admire Rubaya for refusal of further remand on Friday. The State applied for further remand saying the investigating officer in charge of the case Crispen Makedenge had gone to the United States to meet officials of Google and Facebook. The Kudzayi brothers are charged with plotting to overthrow the government through their facebook page and groups that they formed to overthrow the government. Their lawyer argued that the two had been on remand for too long and there was no proof that Makedenge had indeed gone to the United States. The State argued that the two had only been on remand since June and this was not a long time. Magistrate Milton Serima said he would make his ruling today.
